WELDER QUALIFICATION

CWB Testing

We host CWB CSA W47.1 welder qualification testing on scheduled test days, usually, every 2 weeks.

$175/ Plate, $350/Check Test, $425/T-Test

STRUCTURAL

ASME IX Testing

TSBC Class A and ABSA Alberta B Pressure renewal and performance qualification testing.

CSA Z662 Testing

CSA Z662 Cl. 7.8 welder qualification testing using destructive testing with bends, nick breaks and tension testing.

SERVICES

BENDS

Cutting, Machining and Bending. Transverse

Side, Root or Face Bend specimens are bent for welding procedure or welder testing requirements.

Results for bend tests are either provided on a welder qualification record or laboratory report depending on the purpose of testing.

- ASME IX, CSA Z662, CSA W47.1

HARDNESS

Cutting, Machining and Hardness Testing.

Hardness specimens are prepared and polished, the exposed surfaces are subject to indentations under controlled load and examined to standard requirements.

Results for tensile tests are provided on a laboratory report.

- NACE MR0175/ISO 15156, ASTM E92, ASTM E384

TENSILES

Cutting, Machining and Tension Testing.

Tensile specimens are subject to controlled tension until failure. This type of testing is used for welding procedure qualification and can be used for welder performance qualification.

Results for tensile tests are provided on a laboratory report.
